Flagstaff police locate missing man with dementia

FLAGSTAFF – The Flagstaff Police Department announced that a 71-year-old man with dementia who had been reported missing was located on Dec. 17.

The department previously had requested the public’s assistance in locating George William Jackson, Sr., who was last seen on Thursday, Dec. 11.

Police stated that Jackson has dementia and was being taken to The Guidance Center when he walked away from family. 

He was last seen at Miz Zip’s restaurant on Route 66 at approximately 12:40 p.m. His cell phone was found later that day at Fratelli Pizza on Fourth Street.

Anyone with information on Jackson’s whereabouts was asked to contact Detective Schafer at 928-679-4058, or the Silent Witness tipline at 928-774-6111.
